Upaya UNODA dalam Penyensoran Senjata 3D Printed Firearms
Studi Kasus Amerika Serikat & Inggris

This research focuses on the censorship efforts undertaken by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) in dealing with the use of 3D printed firearms in the United States and United Kingdom. The research is accompanied by examples of cases of misuse of 3D printed firearms that have occurred in several countries such as the United States and Britain and various obstacles including that there are still parties capable of printing and abusing these weapons. This research was made based on the lack of supervision of the 3D Printed Firearms file as well as the lack of awareness of the dangers of this weapon and the efforts made by UNODA. One of the efforts to overcome these obstacles is through several cooperation programs and regulatory provisions issued by UNODA. In addition, this issue is an important issue but has not received more attention from related parties. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The theory used is the theory of international organizations and Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW), where this theory discusses the role of UNODA in dealing with the problem of misuse of 3D Printed Firearms files. The results of this study indicate that there is an effort made by UNODA in censoring 3D Printed Firearms files such as through a collaboration program with the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) institutions of the United States to regulate the regulation of the circulation of 3D Print firearms but have not shown results. which is desired because there is still ease of access and production as well as ongoing discussions between UNODA and related parties
