Upaya Indonesia dalam Penerapan Sustainable Development Goals: Life Below Water untuk Mengatasi Polusi Marine Plastic Debris di Kepulauan Seribu Periode 2018 – 2020

Marine plastic debris pollution has become an international problem and has become a target in the international agenda of SDGs 14.1 because it can endanger the chain of human life and marine ecosystems. Nevertheless, the handling of these problems is left to their respective countries, as well as in overcoming marine plastic debris in the Kepulauan Seribu. To analyze the case, this study uses the perspective of constructivism, public policy theory, and the concept of sustainable development. The method used in this research is a type of descriptive research method. The results of this study indicate that within the strategic framework and level of the National Action Plan for Handling Marine Debris, there are efforts made to overcome the problem of marine plastic debris in the Kepulauan Seribu. Actors who handle this are not only the government, but also involve business people, NGOs, and the people of the Kepulauan Seribu by educating the management of plastic waste, carrying out beach clean-up actions, sorting waste, utilizing technology, and and routine waste management in the Kepulauan Seribu.
