Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore strategy in tackling piracy in the Strait of Malacca through Malacca Strait Patrol. This research is a qualitative research with regional security theory and maritime security concept. This study is limited between 2014 and 2017. The results of this study indicate that the cooperation undertaken by the littoral state through Malacca Strait Patrol effective in tackling piracy, this is because in the Malacca Strait Patrol there are three sub patrols are coordinated: Malacca Strait Sea Patrol (patrol in the sea ) Eye In The Sky (air patrol) and Intelligence Exchange Group (Exchange information).
