Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of IJEPA (Indonesia - Japan Economic Partnership) cooperation related to the development of Indonesian coffee commodity exports. IJEPA is the first comprehensive cooperation agreement agreed between Indonesia and Japan on August 20, 2007 and came into effect on July 1 , 2008 . This cooperation covers 11 areas of one trade of goods . This research is a qualitative research as well as in analyzing this problem using the theory of Liberalism as well as the concept of international cooperation , comparative advantage , and interdependence concept. With the IJEPA , it generates an agreement related to the free entry permit and the elimination of pesticide threshold (Carbaryl Residue) for Indonesian products in this case Coffee. Then with the agreement, it is easier for Indonesia to export coffee to Ja pan, so that this cooperation can be considered successful in improving the development of Indonesian coffee exports to Japan.
