Keywords:
Afghanistan refugees, Presidential Regulations, IndonesiaAbstract
This study aims to explain the Analysis of Indonesian Government Policy Implementation in Presidential Regulation Number 125 of 2016 related to Handling of Refugees from Overseas with a case study of Afghan refugees in Jakarta in 2015 - 2018. This research uses Public Policy Theory and Refugee Concepts. This type of research is qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that the various roles undertaken by the Indonesian government in the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 125 of 2016 aim to deal with foreign refugees who are transiting in Indonesia, in matters concerning discovery, storage, security, immigration control and funding. This research focuses on Afghan refugees because in 2015 there was a refugee crisis in the world and Afghan refugees were the highest number of refugees in the Indonesian region, especially in Jakarta. However, there are inhibiting factors in helping to deal with the majority of Afghan refugees in Jakarta, including funding factors and restrictions on foreign refugee policies issued by Australia, making the majority of Afghan refugees detained in the transit country, namely Indonesia.
