Upaya Indonesia Meningkatkan Daya Saing UKM dalam Konteks Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN pada 2019 – 2022

The study aims to explain the efforts to improve the competitiveness of SME in the context of the ASEAN Economic Community. A very large Small and Medium Enterprises become one of the most important units for the nation’s economy. The objective of the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community is to improve economic stability in ASEAN region, in this study Indonesia has sought to increase Small and Medium Enterprises to compete globally in other ASEAN regions. This research uses a qualitative approach where this method explains the object or subject being studied based on a secondary data source. This research shows that SME have the opportunity to be competitive through Competitive Advantage which is reviewed based on the Diamond of National Advantage as a benchmark for the success of Indonesian SME. To answer the research problems, the author used the concept of competitiveness by Michael Porter and neoliberalism. In general, this research found that there are results of analysis between the optimum improvement of gross domestic product, the effectiveness of KUR (Community Business Credit), the existence of a digital platform, training programs and skills of SME towards creativity and innovation, are forms of government efforts in improving the progressivity of the SME competitiveness. The results of this study show that the various programs that have been implemented by various ministries and institutions have not achieved optimal results. However, with the presence of the digital program strategy, it could potentially compete with other ASEAN countries.
