This study aims to analyze the Indonesia’s grant assistance to Afghanistan through Indonesia Islamic Center building in Afghanistan. To analyzing the case, the author uses several concepts such as, Humanitarian Assistance and Nation Building. This research is a qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia’s assistance to Afghanistan through Indonesia Islamic Center building is a humanitarian assistance that can build nation identity and be a reflection of diversity between Afghanistan people and also strengthening Indonesia – Afghanistan relationship.
