This study aims to analyze FLEGT License cooperation between Indonesia and EU in its relation to the increase of Indonesian export in timber during year 2013 to 2017, which in the past has faced many obstacles in entering timber market in EU. One of the obstacles is the illegal logging. Therefore, the aims of this study are describing the efforts to overcome the obstacles in entering timber market in EU, including tackling the illegal logging, as well as analyzing the contribution of FLEGT License in increasing Indonesian export. In this writing, qualitative analysis is conducted on secondary data, under the framework of international regime and export concept of international trade. The result shows that it is expected that importers would prefer businesses that have attained FLEGT License over those who haven’t. This is not only to increase the quality of the timber, but also to reduce the attractiveness of doing illegal logging activities. Therefore, increasing demand and reducing the number of illegal timber at the same time increases export of Indonesian timber to EU.
