Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of ODA as an aid agency in the effort to realize the construction of the Jakarta MRT project in 2013-2020. To analyze this phenomenon, the researcher conceptually uses the perspective of foreign aid and sustainable development in international relations to understand the concept of Official Development Assistance (ODA) as an institutions providing assistance for the construction of the Jakarta MRT project. This research is conducted under the qualitative method on secondary data, and literature studies. The result of this research show the Indonesian Government cannot carry out the construction of the Jakarta MRT project without cooperation and foreign aid. As the DKI Jakarta government collaborated with ODA as a forein aid agency from Japan ini the Jakarta MRT construction in funding and techniques to support the project.
