This study aims to shed light on the political impact of the Russia-Ukraine energy co-operation in securing the supply of gas reserves. Periodization research is limited since the year 2014 to 2017. This research was qualitative in nature and using primary data to analysis the issue of researchers using the concept of energy security and postcolonialist. The results of this research show that Russia has implemented an effective strategy. The strategy could pose political impact to Ukraine so that Ukraine becomes a country very dependent on Russia.
